I would walk 100 miles …
‘Seven men, keen to get fit and raise money and not at all involved just because it would mean at least two nights away from their wives or partners!’
Thank you to our friends Gary, Paul, Chris, Andrew, Rick, Macca, Rob, Gary, Frank, Wheater and Kato covered some serious distance to raise awareness and money for Cystinosis Ireland! We are so incredibly lucky to have friends with as much ambission, passion and dedication as you all do. Congratulations on completing The 100 Mile Walk!
Gary Pemberton wrote recapturing of the event, below is an excerpt from his own account of the three day event:
A glorious day in July, in a picture postcard village in Hertfordshire, with all our friends and family cheering us on – we crossed the finishing line and the 100 mile walk was over! There were tears, pains and oh man! – were there blisters! But most of all, there were smiles and laughter and it was this, and the thought of raising as much money as possible, which carried us over that line on 4th July 2009.
